About this file

This is a Bid Bond Form for the Washington State Parks Project at Willapa Hills State Park Trail in Pacific County, specifically for surfacing work in Phase 2 (Project NW-C4319A). The project encompasses grubbing, grading, crushed rock surfacing, and associated trail improvements. Bidders must submit their responses through the MRSC Bonfire Procurement Portal at https://mrscrosters.bonfirehub.com/portal. The bid validity period requires bidders to allow for a 60-day acceptance period from the bid opening date. All bid bonds must be submitted as scanned PDF copies included with the electronic bid submission.

Bid bond requirements are contingent on total bid amount, including all additive alternates. No bid bond is required for bids of $35,000 or less; however, for bids exceeding $35,000, a mandatory bid bond of 5% of the total bid amount must be submitted, or the bid will be deemed non-responsive. Bid bonds for the three lowest bidders will be retained for 30 days or until contract execution with the successful bidder, while all other bid bonds will be released within 15 days of bid opening. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract or provide a performance bond within 15 days of receiving contract forms, the bid bond may be forfeited as liquidated damages. Bidders should direct questions to contracts@parks.wa.gov and must review all bid documents thoroughly to ensure compliance with submission requirements, with additional details available in Section 11.1 of the Instructions to Bidders in the project manual.
