Scope of Work:
This scope of work outlines the requirements and procedures for conducting comprehensive electrical testing services, including breaker testing and arc flash analysis. The primary objective of these services is to ensure the safe operation and reliability of electrical distribution systems within the facility, thereby reducing the risk of electrical failures, enhancing system performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards, including NFPA 70E and IEEE 1584. The services will begin with a thorough visual inspection of all electrical components, including circuit breakers, transformers, and cables, to identify any visible signs of wear, damage, or non-compliance with applicable codes. Following this, detailed breaker testing will be performed, which includes the evaluation of trip settings, timing tests, and insulation resistance tests to confirm the functionality and reliability of each protective device under various load conditions. In addition to breaker testing, an arc flash hazard analysis will be conducted to assess the potential incident energy levels present in the facility's electrical systems. This will involve collecting necessary data, such as equipment specifications, available fault currents, and system configurations to develop accurate models for the arc flash study. The analysis will culminate in the generation of arc flash labels that indicate potential hazard levels and recommendations for appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for personnel working in proximity to electrical equipment. Furthermore, a comprehensive report will be provided upon completion of the testing services, detailing findings, recommendations for corrective actions, and outlining the necessary maintenance requirements to address any identified issues. This report will serve as a crucial tool for facility management to improve safety protocols and operational efficiency. All testing will be performed in accordance with industry best practices and national standards, ensuring the highest level of safety and reliability for the electrical systems being evaluated.
