About this file
The document is a Drug-Free Workplace Form for a state and local contract opportunity issued by Hillsborough County, Florida, specifically for the Pet Resources Department. The county is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified suppliers to provide ongoing uniforms and protective clothing for a two-year contract period, with an estimated project budget of $75,145.00. The form requires vendors to certify compliance with Florida Statute 287.087, which mandates specific workplace drug prevention and reporting protocols.
The Drug-Free Workplace Form outlines six key requirements for vendors, including publishing a statement prohibiting controlled substance use in the workplace, informing employees about drug abuse dangers, providing policy statements to employees, notifying employers of any drug-related convictions, imposing sanctions on employees convicted of drug offenses, and maintaining a drug-free workplace. The form must be signed by an authorized representative of the vendor, certifying full compliance with these requirements. While the document does not provide specific details about the uniforms or protective clothing, it is part of a competitive bidding process for the Hillsborough County Pet Resources Department.
