About this file
This is a Drug-Free Workplace Certification Form required by the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners for a regulatory road and street signs material and parts contract opportunity in Florida. The form serves as a mandatory compliance document that vendors must complete and sign to demonstrate adherence to Florida Statute 287.087 requirements. The resulting contract is valued at $3,452,690.25 and covers a three-year period. Vendors must certify their commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace environment and provide evidence of established policies, employee notifications, and enforcement mechanisms designed to prevent unlawful drug manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use within the workplace.
The form requires vendors to publish clear workplace policies, inform employees of drug abuse dangers and related penalties, distribute policy statements to all employees engaged in performing contract work, and notify employees of their obligation to report any drug-related convictions or guilty pleas within five days of occurrence. Vendors must also commit to imposing sanctions on employees who violate drug policies or require their participation in available rehabilitation programs. The certification must be signed by an authorized company representative and serves as a good faith declaration that the firm will maintain compliance with all stated drug-free workplace requirements throughout the contract period.
