About this file
This document is a Drug-Free Workplace Form for the Hillsborough County Water Resources Department (WRD) in Florida, specifically related to a competitive bid for industrial hoses and fittings. The WRD is seeking qualified suppliers to provide industrial hoses and fittings for plant facilities and lift station operations, with an estimated project budget of $307,985.42. The procurement requires insurance coverage, and vendors must comply with specific drug-free workplace certification requirements under Florida Statute 287.087.
The certification form mandates that vendors publish a statement prohibiting controlled substance manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use in the workplace, and outlines specific actions vendors must take to maintain a drug-free work environment. These actions include informing employees about drug abuse dangers, providing drug counseling resources, notifying employees of conviction reporting requirements, and imposing sanctions on employees convicted of drug-related offenses. Vendors must sign and date the form, certifying full compliance with these requirements as a condition of bidding on the contract.
