About this file

This is a Drug-Free Workplace Certification Form required by the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners in Florida for the Sporting Scoreboard Systems contract opportunity. Vendors bidding on this contract must complete and submit this form as part of their proposal package. The form certifies that the bidding contractor complies with Florida Statute 287.087 requirements regarding workplace drug policies and employee notification procedures. Contractors must demonstrate that they have published statements prohibiting unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use of controlled substances in the workplace; informed employees about drug abuse dangers and available assistance programs; provided copies of the drug-free workplace statement to all employees engaged in the contract work; notified employees of their obligation to report any drug-related convictions within five days; and committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace through implementation and enforcement of these requirements.

The form serves as a compliance document rather than a pricing or project scope instrument. Completion requires an authorized company representative to sign and date the certification, affirming that the firm fully complies with all six enumerated requirements of Florida's drug-free workplace statute. This certification is mandatory for all vendors submitting competitive sealed bids for the two-year, $442,095.00 Sporting Scoreboard Systems contract with Hillsborough County. Failure to complete and submit this form may result in bid rejection, as compliance with Florida's drug-free workplace requirements is a standard condition of eligibility for state and local contract awards in Florida.
