About this file

The document is a Statement of Objectives (SOO) for a fiber optic cable installation project at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. The project requires a contractor to survey, engineer, design, procure, deliver, and install 72 strands of single-mode fiber optic cable between buildings 88 and 306, including removal of existing cabling, conduit installation through trenching/boring, and termination on communication racks with LC connectors. The contractor must have confined space entry capabilities, personal protective equipment, and the ability to pull, terminate, and test fiber optic cable.

The related federal contract opportunity is a HUB-Zone set-aside solicitation (FA487725QA253) for a firm-fixed price purchase order. Key dates include a site visit on March 26th, 2025, with questions due by March 31st, 2025, and quotes due by April 3rd, 2025. The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command will evaluate quotes based on technical capability, period of performance, and price reasonableness. The contractor will be required to provide a one-year warranty covering parts, labor, and maintenance, with the award going to the most advantageous quote considering price and other factors.
