Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences Procurement of Maintenance on Three MR Patient Monitors
Statement of Work
BACKGROUND
The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences requires the procurement of a maintenance contract for three MR patient monitors with the below mandatory requirements to support the MR imaging section within the department. The patient monitors will be used to track patient vital signs while patients are being scanned in the MR machine. Monitoring of patients is essential when undergoing diagnostic imaging, the MR section cannot guarantee patient safety without monitoring vital signs.
PURPOSE/JUSTIFICATION
InVivo/Philips is the only vendor that can provide proper maintenance for these patient monitors. The Invivo/Philips patient monitors are proprietary to InVivo/Philips and only InVivo/Philips engineers are trained to service/maintain the patient monitors. Only they can provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts and services. If the monitors are not properly maintained, the equipment will not be able to monitor patient vital signs accurately.
