Schedule of Items:

1. Description of Work

The project is to acquire metal boundary posts for delineating National Forest boundaries and other boundaries managed by USFS.

Regional specifications require that boundary posts be driven a minimum of 18" into the ground and securely planted. The terrain is often rocky and difficult, the posts must be able to withstand great force to be able to be driven into the ground as required. Furthermore, survey personnel are required to carry large quantities of the posts up several miles on foot to job sites.

To meet these demands, we are seeking strong posts yet lightweight. The posts must have pre-drilled holes at correct locations for the attachment of signage.

Steel Posts- min. 16 gauge

• Metal Posts: Metal posts shall be a ribbed style of nominal six feet in length. Minimum weight of post material shall be 0.75 pounds per foot.

Aluminum Posts- min. 13 gauge

• Aluminum Posts: Aluminum posts shall be a "U" channel traffic delineator type and be solid extruded, with a minimum length of 6 feet, a minimum weight of 2.3 pounds, and cleats/anchor tabs at the base of the post.
