STATEMENT OF WORK

NIMITZ LIBRARY SUBSCRIPTION REQUIREMENTS

A. Background The Nimitz Library at the U.S. Naval Academy is an academic library in support of a patron population of approximately 4,520 midshipman, 600 faculty, and 3,000 other staff and military personnel. To meet the academic/educational mission requirements of the Naval Academy, the Nimitz Library subscribes to scholarly content in the form of scholarly journals and other periodicals. This subscription content is an integral part of the Library’s collections and services as curriculum and course development as well as midshipman and faculty research are dependent upon them.

B. Scope In order to sustain Library performance, support and advance the educational mission of the Academy, and provide the necessary resources to sustain faculty research agendas, the Nimitz Library must subscribe to key scholarly journals that scholarly articles in biology, chemistry, engineering, and other sciences. These journal subscriptions must provide the unique intellectual property necessary for the Academy’s specific educational and research needs.

C. Requirements

a. Full-text subscription to Science and Science Robotics

b. Articles must be indexable by the Ex Libris PrimoVE Discovery system.

c. Publisher POC should respond within one business day to all technical and content questions and problems posed by the Library’s POC.

D. Deliverables

a. Electronic access to these specific journal titles:

i. Science.

ii. Science Robotics.

E. Period of Performance

i. January 1 to December 31 2024

ii. January 1 to December 31 2025

iii. January 1 to December 31 2026

iv. January 1 to December 31 2027

v. January 1 to December 31 2028
