Statement of Work (SOW)
Project Title: Self-Contained HAZMAT Storage Containers – Delivery and Activation Location: Naval Base Coronado, HAZMAT Compound Building 1206
1. Objective:
To procure, deliver, and activate two (2) self-contained hazardous material (HAZMAT) storage containers equipped with built-in fire suppression systems for safe and compliant material storage at Naval Base Coronado, Building 1206.
Specifications: TWO (2) 32 Pallet Storage Capacity OPTION
Option “EGDM32PLT-6DR-NASNI” – One Unit w/ an approximate Exterior Footprint of 39’L x 11’D x 10’H with I.D. of 38’6”L x 9’4”D x 8’6’H PER LEVEL approx. Interior Square Feet PER LEVEL– One (1) Room – Factory Mutual “FM” Approved – 12GA Steel Noncombustible Continuously Welded Construction equipped w/ features Meets County and City of San Diego OFFSITE requirements for Fabrication and Offsite electrical requirements for City and County of San Diego . Structure to carry Product Liability Insurance. Structure to have a TOTAL of Eight (8) 106” Wide x 102”H Dual Doors steel doors – 4 sets of doors on front and 4 sets of doors on back ( each set 106”Wide) Corrosion Protected Steel Pallet Loading Supports per tier 250 psf Second Pallet support tier – Per level each structure to house 16 Pallets for a total of 32 pallet capacity LDPE Sump liner in sump arena of the structure Pre-Engineered FM Approved & UL Listed Dry Chem Fire Suppression system meeting NFPA 17 requirements Exterior UL Listed NEMA 3R Load Center – 1 Phase
2. Scope of Work:
The contractor shall:
Provide two (2) new, fully self-contained HAZMAT storage containers.
Each container must be equipped with an integrated fire suppression system appropriate for chemical and flammable material storage.
Ensure containers meet or exceed DoD, NFPA, OSHA, and local/state regulatory standards for hazardous materials storage.
Deliver all units to HAZMAT Compound 1206, Naval Base Coronado.
Activate and test fire suppression systems in each unit upon delivery.
Provide technical documentation and training on safe use and emergency procedures if applicable.
3. Deliverables:
Two (2) fully operational self-contained HAZMAT containers with functioning fire suppression systems.
Completed delivery and activation at designated location.
Written certification of system installation and functionality.
Operation and maintenance manuals for each unit.
4. Period of Performance:
All units must be delivered and fully activated on day of delivery
