About this file
This is a Bid Bond document for the Paradise Township Sewer Authority in Pennsylvania related to a Liquid Sludge Hauling & Disposal project at 33 Singer Avenue, Paradise, PA 17562. The bond is prepared in accordance with EJCDC C-430 (Penal Sum Form) standards. Bids were required to be submitted online through PennBID no later than 10:00 AM on November 12, 2026, with bids remaining open for 60 days following the bid opening date. Bidders must register on the PennBID website to access all project documents and submit their proposals. No site visits, bidders' meetings, or conferences are mentioned in the bid bond document itself.
The bid bond requires bidders to provide a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid value, with bonds to be issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in Pennsylvania. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The penal sum of the bond represents the extent of the bidder's and surety's liability, with payment due within 30 calendar days of written notice of default from the owner. The surety waives notice of defenses related to time extensions for issuing Notice of Award, provided such extensions do not exceed 120 days in aggregate from the bid due date without written consent. Any legal action must be commenced within one year after the bid due date and in a court of competent jurisdiction within Pennsylvania. The Paradise Township Sewer Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
