About this file

This is Exhibit L of a GSA Template R100 for a swing space requirement in RLP No. 0IL2403.

The lessor must provide as-built temporary space to enable the SSA field office to maintain minimal operations, including public reception and meeting capabilities, during the transition from the existing location to permanent space. The temporary space must be available for occupancy no later than December 15, 2026, and must be physically separate from the permanent leased premises. Required as-built features include a waiting room/reception area, private interview areas, a securable server room, restrooms, and a kitchenette/breakroom. The Government requires 24/7 access to the space with normal operating hours Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., excluding weekends and Federal holidays. The temporary space must comply with all local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) occupancy requirements and building inspection standards, include HVAC service during operating hours per ASHRAE standards, and include daily custodial services aligned with lease requirements. Upon the SSA's relocation into the permanent space, all temporary space rent costs cease and the space must be vacated. Permanent space rent commences only after occupancy, while the permanent leased premises are built-out during the temporary space occupancy period. Offerors are required to submit Temporary Space Submittals (TS 1.01) as part of their proposal response.
