About this file

This document is a Darfur Contracting Act Certification form issued by the State of California's Department of General Services (DGS) for Agreement Number 25WS0014. The form is designed to ensure compliance with Public Contract Code Sections 10475-10481, which applies to companies that have conducted business activities outside the United States within the previous three years. The certification requires companies to declare whether they are a "scrutinized company" and provides two options for compliance: Option #1 involves certifying that the company is not a scrutinized company, while Option #2 is for companies that have obtained written permission from the DGS to submit a bid or proposal despite being classified as a scrutinized company.

The form is a mandatory certification for state contract bidding, requiring companies with international business activities to either affirm they are not a scrutinized company or provide evidence of explicit permission from the Department of General Services. Companies must complete the form under penalty of perjury, providing their company name, Federal ID Number, and an authorized signature. The certification is specifically focused on companies with business operations outside the United States in the previous three years, with the goal of ensuring state contracts align with specific ethical and regulatory standards related to international business activities.
