This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES) seeking vendor feedback on specifications for architectural paint and paint supplies. The RFI aims to develop a new statewide contract for paint products, including both interior and exterior paints, primers, and related supplies. Vendors are requested to provide input on the proposed specifications by April 28, 2025, at 11:59 pm, with responses to be submitted electronically to the RFI Coordinator, Jaime Bacon.

The document outlines comprehensive requirements for paint products, including detailed specifications for interior and exterior latex and acrylic paints, primers, and supplies. Key specifications include low-VOC content, multiple finish options, color matching capabilities, delivery guarantees (3 business days for standard orders, 1 business day for rush orders), and sustainability initiatives. The state is seeking vendors who can provide a minimum of 1,000 color options, comply with ASTM standards, meet LEED v4.1 low-emitting materials criteria, and offer warranties ranging from 5-10 years depending on paint type. Vendors are also asked to provide information on technical support, training, and environmental certifications, with preference given to products with third-party environmental certifications like Green Seal or GREENGUARD.
