About this file
This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the State of Wyoming's Department of Administration & Information Purchasing Section for the Wyoming Department of Corrections (WDOC), soliciting bids for annual load bank testing and preventative maintenance on emergency generators and switch gear at the Wyoming State Penitentiary. The bid (Number 0262-K) seeks services for a potential two-year contract period through June 30, 2027, with options to extend up to four years total. The scope includes testing five specific emergency generators (Generac and Cummins models), performing switch gear testing, conducting preventative maintenance per National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, and inspecting all batteries. Bids are due by 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time on June 17, 2025, and bidders are required to submit pricing for one-, two-, three-, and four-year contract durations.
The contract includes flexible terms allowing the WDOC to make multiple or no bid awards based on state interests, and awarded bidders and their employees will be subject to background checks and insurance requirements. Each payment obligation is contingent upon government fund availability, with potential termination if funds are not allocated. Bidders must submit all delivery fees and surcharges within their pricing and are advised that no federal, state, county, or municipal taxes should be included in quoted prices. The solicitation emphasizes that any resulting purchase order does not guarantee goods or services will be required, providing the WDOC flexibility in procurement.
