About this file
This Request for Information (RFI) document is issued by the Department of Enterprise Services (DES) on behalf of the State of Washington for office relocation services. The RFI seeks input from the business community regarding specifications for a new statewide contract that will replace the expiring contract 09120 Office Relocations effective February 28, 2027. The scope of work includes intrastate office relocation services, which may encompass packaging and moving of complex furniture systems. The RFI is not a formal solicitation but rather a pre-solicitation notice inviting vendor feedback on draft contract documents and performance requirements. Responses to the survey are due by November 12, 2026, and respondents are instructed to complete a short survey identifying areas of confusion or challenges in meeting listed performance requirements. The expected formal solicitation timeline is November 2026. Submission of an RFI response is optional and does not obligate participation in future solicitations.
The historical or estimated annual contract value is $1,097,215. This is a statewide contract under RCW 39.26 intended to serve state agencies and Contracts Usage Agreement (CUA) Members. The RFI clarifies that release of this request does not obligate the State of Washington to award a contract. All documents submitted as part of the RFI are subject to the Public Records Act (RCW 42.56) and will be treated as public records unless statutorily exempt. DES strongly discourages submission of sensitive, proprietary, or trade secret information during the RFI phase. Vendors should direct all questions and communications to Sarah Smith, Procurement Coordinator, at DESContractsTeamApple@des.wa.gov.
