About this file

This document is Addendum 2 for Solicitation 021-DW-0125, issued by Polk County Public Schools for a LAN Fiber Optic Installation E-Rate project. The addendum provides official responses to 22 vendor questions regarding the solicitation, covering technical specifications, installation requirements, and project details. Key clarifications include confirmation that the project involves installing fiber optic cable at 82 locations, with all work anticipated to be completed within the 2025 E-Rate Funding year. The working hours may be site-specific, and work cannot disrupt the student learning environment.

The addendum addresses various technical and procedural questions, such as cable footages, conduit installation, connector specifications, and test result requirements. Notably, the pricing is per foot, with invoice amounts determined by OTDR or OTLS test result footage. The project has E-Rate funding eligibility, with the percentage of eligibility varying by item. Vendors are advised to refer to the Invitation to Bid (ITB) for specific details on sections like minority status consideration, installation costs, and underground conduit requirements. Access to installation sites will be coordinated with campus staff, and the winning bidder is expected to be awarded all 82 locations.
