About this file
This document is a Question and Answer (Q&A) file related to a state and local contract opportunity for a Prison Population Study in the state of Nevada. The contract is being issued by the State Purchasing division on behalf of the Budget Division of the Governor's Office of Finance (GFO). The scope of work includes the consultants providing annual prison population projections due each November 5th, with the first projection due November 5, 2025. The contract term is for 4 years, with 3 site visits over that period at the discretion of the GFO. Nevada's correctional facilities do not currently have a validated, objective classification system, and the document provides detailed breakdowns of the current inmate population by custody level, race, gender, and age.
The document also includes information on the medical capabilities and capacities of Nevada's correctional facilities, as well as the total maximum capacity for both open and shuttered facilities. Pricing terms, funding requirements, and other salient commercial details are not provided in this Q&A file.
