About this file
This statement of work outlines requirements for procuring two long length floating fuel hoses and associated reels for a liquid fuel offloading facility at Thule Air Base in Greenland. The statement of work specifies procuring two 600-foot floating hoses rated for fuel oil, compatible with existing connections. Each hose must be assembled onto a reel frame capable of handling the hose length and rated for a 10 horsepower hydraulic motor. Associated requirements include hydraulic power units, starters, electrical components, documentation, and delivery of all assembled equipment to the Port of Fredericia in Denmark by May 15, 2021. The statement of work provides specifications for hoses, reels, components, documentation deliverables, drawings of the existing equipment, and contact information for coordination and factory acceptance testing.

1.1 BACKGROUND
The site uses four (4) tanker offloading hoses to execute the offloading of the annual fuel delivery. The older pair of these hoses (funded for purchase in January 2002) are well beyond their life expectancy and are showing signs of delamination and bulging. Also, the associated hose reels, property that has been in use even prior to the older pair of hoses, no longer have functioning hydraulics and braking, putting the operators in an unsafe situation, and no repair parts are produced for these reels any longer. Two (2) new sets of hoses and reels, with all the necessary fittings, are required to be procured and delivered to Thule AB prior to the next tanker offload in the summer of 2021.
