About this file
This is a Sole Source Justification (SSJ) document for a simplified acquisition from Paradise Park in Perry, FL. The contract is for leasing four Mobile Housing Unit (MHU) pads to provide temporary housing for disaster survivors affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The contract will be a Fixed Firm Price for an 18-month period starting May 5, 2025, with a base period of six months and two optional six-month extensions. Funding will come from Disaster Relief Funds 4828DR-FL and 4834DR-FL during fiscal years 2025 and 2026. The justification is based on "only one source reasonably available" and supported by market research involving phone calls to ten potential vendors, which determined an average cost for commercial park lots. The contract is essential to timely support disaster survivors and is limited by the availability of regional housing options in the affected area.
