A. INTRODUCTION/OBJECTIVE
1. The purpose of this project is to install an underfloor electrical gutter system within the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) Data Center to support the deployment of the new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The gutter system will provide a dedicated, organized, and protected pathway beneath the raised floor for routing power conductors and associated electrical infrastructure required for SCADA equipment operation.
The objective is to furnish and install a code-compliant underfloor gutter system capable of distributing both 120 VAC and 240 VAC branch circuits from designated electrical panels to strategically located receptacles serving the new SCADA equipment racks, workstations, and supporting devices.
2. To ensure the best results the contractor shall at a minimum, conduct one on-site visit to WAPA’s DSW Phoenix facility prior to commencement of any work. It is the contractor’s responsibility to have a complete technical and visual understanding of the project requirements. The Contractor must also complete all other appropriate pre-construction activities such as, ensuring the proposed activity conforms to all applicable building codes, taking all appropriate measurements, making all appropriate sketches of the proposed project and site layout/conditions; and taking notice of all relevant requirements/considerations. If required, the Contractor may request additional information from the COR/PM.
3. The Contractor is to contact DSW federal employee Timothy Hurst (COR) at 602-605-2726 or hurst@wapa.gov and including Michael Burgess burges@wapa.gov as back up COR designated duties are to verify that the site is ready for the performance of work as set forth in this SOW, to coordinate arrival time to allow a WAPA representative to meet and escort the contractor while on DSW property. The contractor is not permitted to work on-site without the presence of a WAPA representative. Work must be performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am – 3:00pm. Excluding all Federal Holidays. Work performed outside of these hours must be coordinated and approved 48 hours in advance by the COR.
B. REQUIREMENTS
Installation of Dedicated 120VAC and 240VAC Receptacles for Data Center Re-cabling Project
1. Purpose
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, testing, permits (if required), and documentation necessary to install dedicated electrical receptacles and circuits within the WAPA Data Center.
2. General Information

3. Scope of Work The contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the following work:
A. 240VAC Receptacles Furnish and install a total of eight (8) 240VAC, 20-amp receptacles utilizing NEMA L6-20R locking-type connectors.
Each receptacle shall be supplied by an individual dedicated 20-amp circuit breaker.
No receptacle shall share a circuit with another receptacle.
Circuits shall be distributed between independent A-side and B-side power sources to provide redundant power feeds.
B. 120VAC Receptacles Furnish and install a total of eight (8) 120VAC, 20-amp receptacles utilizing NEMA 5-20R receptacles.
Each receptacle shall be supplied by an individual dedicated 20-amp circuit breaker.
No receptacle shall share a circuit with another receptacle.
Circuits shall be distributed between independent A-side and B-side power sources to provide redundant power feeds.
4. Cabinet Power Configuration Each designated data center cabinet shall receive redundant electrical service as follows:
One (1) 240VAC NEMA L6-20R receptacle connected to the A-side power source.
One (1) 240VAC NEMA L6-20R receptacle connected to the B-side power source.
One (1) 120VAC NEMA 5-20R receptacle connected to the A-side power source.
One (1) 120VAC NEMA 5-20R receptacle connected to the B-side power source.
