About this file
This is Addendum One to an Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ #10A2712) issued by the California Department of Transportation for roll up door services in San Joaquin County. The project involves removing and replacing 23 roll up doors, motors, hardware and accessories at the Stockton Maintenance Station located at 1604 South B Street, Stockton. The final date for quote submission has been extended to December 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM Pacific Time, with an estimated award date of December 30, 2024. Work is expected to commence January 1, 2025 and be completed by August 31, 2025. An optional pre-bid site inspection was held on December 6, 2024.
The scope requires contractors to provide all labor, materials, equipment, disposal, and incidentals necessary for door removal and replacement services. Key specifications include thermal rolling steel doors with 2.5" galvanized steel construction, 3/4" polyurethane foam insulation, 1.5 HP 480V three-phase motors, and doors must withstand 20 PSF wind loads. Caltrans will provide power and junction boxes, and handle relocation of any interfering lights or conduits. The contractor is responsible for permits and must provide a one-year warranty on all work. The Q&A clarifies there are 23 total doors (not 24) to be replaced and discusses power supply requirements, sliding door conversions, and SB/DVBE requirements which remain unchanged from the original solicitation.
