About this file
This is a Request for Bid (RFB) document issued by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for on-call Region 2 paving services. The project, designated I5 MP222 NB Fire Damage Project, involves 3-inch inlay paving on Interstate 5 northbound at milepoint 222 to repair shoulder surface damage caused by a vehicle fire, covering approximately 8 feet wide and 110 feet long. The work includes retracing longitudinal markings to match existing specifications and replacing 16-inch gap pattern rumble strips. The RFB, issued on October 29, 2026, requires bids to be submitted by November 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with a required project completion date of December 31, 2026. The project involves seven pay items: mobilization (1 lump sum), temporary work zone traffic control (1 lump sum), pollution control plan (1 lump sum), cold plane pavement removal at 3 inches deep (98 square yards), Level 3, 1/2-inch dense asphalt concrete pavement mixture (17 tons), thermoplastic markings (110 linear feet), and gap pattern rumble strips (0.021 mile). Work may be performed Sunday night through Thursday morning between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., with portable changeable message signs required at least 7 days in advance of any lane closure.
This RFB is restricted to holders of the On-Call Region 2 Paving Price Agreement, as indicated in the related contract opportunity. The project is located in Linn County and requires compliance with prevailing wage rates effective September 3, 2026, as amended October 5, 2026, available through the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries. The project also requires compliance with the domestic preference requirements of ORS 279C.303 and State Buy America Provisions as outlined in Price Agreement Exhibit A. Contractors must complete all bid sections including company legal name, contact information, CCB number, and signature, and must submit unit and total prices for all bid items through the OregonBuys system. Payment will be based on actual quantities provided and performed rather than estimated quantities. The ODOT Project Manager is Cody Stone, reachable at 503-953-6334 or Cody.Stone@ODOT.Oregon.gov.
