About this file
This file contains the NDAA UAS LiDAR and Imagery Package Specifications for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), establishing the technical requirements for an unmanned aircraft system procurement. The specifications detail three primary components: a Freefly Alta X Gen2 drone platform with greater than 9 lbs. payload capacity and 20+ minutes flight time; a GeoCue TrueView 660 LiDAR payload capable of greater than 3 returns per pulse with 100-meter range and 360-degree field of view; and a Freefly Sony ILX-LR1 camera with 61MP resolution and 24mm lens. All hardware must be NDAA compliant. The deliverables include the fully operational unmanned aircraft system with all necessary cables, gimbals, mounting hardware, batteries, and accessories, along with operation manuals and processing/acquisition software with license keys.
Beyond the physical system, the contract requires in-person training for two ODOT employees at Freefly for Alta X Gen2 drone operations and separate GeoCue training for TrueView 660 operation and processing conducted at ODOT's Salem, Oregon location (800 Airport Rd SE, Salem, OR 97301). Customer service and maintenance capabilities must be based in the United States with same-day response time for in-field troubleshooting. The specifications provide reference links to the equipment manufacturers' product pages and establish precise technical parameters including scanner precision of 15-20mm or less, GNSS/IMU absolute accuracy of 3-5cm or less, and IP43 or higher water rating for the drone platform.
