About this file

This is an Exhibit 3 Specifications document for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) regarding a maintenance yard fencing project. The work consists of removing the existing fence and installing approximately 770 linear feet of new Type CL-6 (6-foot) chain link fencing with barbed wire security top around a stockpile site located on OR202 at MP 28.86 near Jewel, Oregon. The project also requires installation of one 20-foot single swing gate along the property frontage at a location to be determined by the contractor and the Resident Project Representative (RPR). Work must be performed between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and state-observed holidays. The contractor may use the stockpile site as a staging area for materials and equipment during the project duration and is responsible for brush and material removal along the proposed fence line necessary for installation.

Payment will be made only for bid items installed per specifications, with all compensation including labor, equipment, materials, traffic control, mobilization, supervision, and brush and fence removal and disposal. The completed work must be inspected and accepted by the Project Manager or RPR prior to payment issuance. The contractor shall contact the Utility Notification Center before work begins, though no buried utilities are anticipated in the work area. All removed materials become the contractor's property and must be disposed of in a manner satisfactory to the Project Manager. The contractor is responsible for protecting all materials left on state property, with ODOT assuming no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to equipment or materials on the jobsite.
