About this file

This is a Project Overview Exhibit document prepared by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for the Jordan Valley Wash Slab Replacement Project. The project involves the removal and replacement of the wash slab, sump basin, oil/water separator, and associated underground piping and electrical systems at the Jordan Valley Maintenance Station located at 701 Bassett Street, Jordan Valley, Oregon 97910. The primary scope of work includes excavation approximately 10 feet deep for installation of a new catch basin sump and vault-style oil/water separator to address deterioration of the existing system. ODOT Project Manager Travis Duby serves as the primary point of contact. Contractors must conduct a mandatory site visit prior to bidding and submit clarifications regarding any discrepancies. Substantial completion is required by October 15, 2026, with final completion no later than October 30, 2026. Work must be scheduled for weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., excluding weekends and state holidays. The project timeline takes advantage of the September through October window when groundwater levels in the Jordan Valley area are lowest, as the region experiences high groundwater levels during spring and summer irrigation season.

Contractors must submit minimum submittals including concrete mix design, oil/water separator specifications, and catch basin and grate details for ODOT Project Manager approval prior to material ordering and construction. All electrical work must be performed by a licensed electrical contractor, and equipment must be installed according to manufacturer specifications. BOLI Prevailing Wage Rates apply to the project, requiring weekly Certified Payroll Reports from the general contractor and all subcontractors. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all required permits and providing copies to ODOT prior to work commencement. ODOT will contract with a special inspections firm and cover those costs, though the contractor pays for additional inspections resulting from failure to meet required standards. The contractor must provide a one-year installation warranty on workmanship and all applicable equipment warranties. Final deliverables include as-built drawings with marked underground utilities, operations and maintenance documentation, equipment information, and signed certification that all subcontractors and suppliers have been paid in full.
