About this file
This is a Base Bid and Add Alternates description document for The Dalles Middle School overhead doors project in Oregon. The project involves the removal of existing overhead doors and operators, installation of new overhead doors and operators, potential painting of non-replaced doors, and miscellaneous related items as specified in the contract documents. The scope of work addresses the modernization of overhead door systems at the school facility to improve functionality and safety.
The document outlines pricing structure through a base bid component and several add alternate options, allowing the school district to prioritize expenditures based on available funding and project priorities. The add alternates provide flexibility for bidders to propose additional work items or upgrades beyond the base scope, with separate pricing for each alternative component. This structure enables the district to award the base contract while selectively incorporating add alternates depending on budget availability and operational needs at the school facility.
