About this file
This is a Request for Bid (RFB) document issued by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for on-call Region 2 paving work related to the US26 MP33 Burn Paving Project. The project involves pavement replacement on approximately 20 feet by 60 feet of the eastbound direction of US26 near milepost 33, just east of the Mt. St. Helens viewpoint, following a recent vehicle fire. The scope of work includes mobilization, temporary work zone traffic control, pollution control planning, cold plane pavement removal to 2 inches deep (133 square yards), Level 3 1/2-inch dense asphalt concrete pavement mixture installation (15 tons), hi-build paint application (60 linear feet), and continuous rumble strips (0.01 miles). Bids are due by October 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with a required project completion date of December 31, 2025. The work will be performed in Washington County, Oregon. No site visit or bidders' conference is mentioned in the documentation.
The project requires compliance with domestic preference requirements under ORS 279C.303 and State Buy America Provisions. If the contract price exceeds $50,000, prevailing wage rates as established by Oregon's Bureau of Labor and Industries apply. Traffic restrictions prohibit lane closures during commute hours (7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on weekdays) and prohibit work on weekends or holidays. Portable Changeable Message Signs must be placed a minimum of three days in advance of any ramp or lane closure. Contractors must submit completed bids through OregonBuys, including both the RFB/Work Order form with unit and total prices and the total bid price on the Items tab. The ODOT Project Manager is Cody Stone, reachable at 503-953-6334 or Cody.Stone@ODOT.Oregon.gov.
