About this file

This is a Request for Bid (RFB) issued by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for an On-Call Region 2 Paving project on OR228 from mile point 0.37 to 1.33. The project involves a 3-inch full-width overlay paving covering approximately 0.96 miles, with 0"-3" Cold Plane Pavement Removal at the project's start and end. The bid is due on April 15, 2025, at 2:00 pm, with a required completion date of June 30, 2025. The scope includes 12 distinct line items such as mobilization, temporary work zone traffic control, pollution control plan, aggregate shoulders, cold plane pavement removal, asphalt mixture placement (3,894 tons), and various pavement markings and striping (20,045 linear feet of paint).

The procurement is restricted to pre-qualified price agreement holders and is subject to domestic preference requirements under ORS 279C.303. Contractors must comply with prevailing wage rates dated January 5, 2025, for Linn County and adhere to strict traffic lane closure restrictions (prohibited during commute times: 6 AM to 9 AM and 4 PM to 7 PM, Monday-Friday). Portable Changeable Message Signs must be placed at least 7 days before lane closures, and contractors must submit a detailed traffic control plan. While specific budget details are not explicitly stated, the project represents a substantial infrastructure investment focused on road rehabilitation and maintenance, with the final project cost to be determined through the competitive bid submission process.
