The project, designated as OR18B MP2.25 Willamina RR Xing Paving Project (RFB Number S-73000-00007660), involves a 6-inch grind and pave operation at the Willamina railroad crossing located at the junction of OR18B and Main Street in Yamhill County. The work encompasses an area measuring 20 feet wide by 100 feet long around and between Hampton railroad tracks. The anticipated work items include mobilization, temporary work zone traffic control, pollution control planning, cold plane pavement removal of 6 inches deep (225 square yards), and Level 3, 1/2-inch dense asphalt concrete pavement mixture (80 tons). The bid was issued on July 27, 2023, with a due date of August 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. The required completion date is September 29, 2023. The RFB requires contractors to submit completed pricing for all applicable pay items, with payment based on actual quantities performed. Prevailing wage rates applicable to Yamhill County, as published by the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries dated July 5, 2023, must be observed. Contractors must possess a current CCB (Contractors Board) license and reference their On-Call Region 2 Paving Price Agreement Number. Portable Changeable Message Signs must be placed a minimum of seven days before any lane closures, and the cold-planed surface must be swept and cleaned prior to traffic reopening. No compaction testing is required for this project. Railroad coordination will be handled by ODOT. The work order will not be effective until signed by ODOT's Procurement Authority and a notice to proceed is issued.
