Review a task
Task examples
Open a task when you need to review one follow-up item, confirm who owns it, check when it is due, or update its capture context. Tasks are workspace-owned records and usually belong to a pipeline and pursuit.
Assignment, priority, status, and tags
The task drawer shows the assigned user, priority when set, completion status, and tags. Completed tasks show completed timing; incomplete tasks remain available for follow-up review.
Description, due date, pipeline, and pursuit
Task details can include a description, due date, linked pipeline, and linked pursuit. Use the pipeline and pursuit links to move from the task to the broader capture workflow. If a due date includes a time, GovTribe shows the date and time; otherwise it shows the date.
Checklist and editing
The task drawer can show checklist items below the main details. Use Edit when you need to change task metadata or content. Some fields depend on the selected workspace, pipeline, pursuit, and your account permissions.
Common questions
For general search and table troubleshooting, see Troubleshoot search results.
How do tasks connect to pipelines and pursuits?
Tasks are capture follow-up items that belong to a pipeline and pursuit. Use the Pipeline and Pursuit columns to see where the work belongs, and use the matching filters when you want to review tasks for one capture effort.
How should I find open or overdue work?
Use the Completed filter to focus on incomplete tasks, then add a Due Date filter or sort by Due Date. This keeps task review focused on work that still needs attention.
Why can I not change a task's pipeline or pursuit?
Task editing depends on where you opened the task and what your account can update. Some task drawers disable pipeline or pursuit selection when the task is being managed from a specific pursuit context.
