UNSPSC 73181114: Barrel electro coating service

Coating or plating of parts using electo-coating/plating barrel coating processes

UNSPSC 73181114 Barrel electro coating service is a Commodity code with no recent state and local procurement activity aligned to its nominal scope. The four most recent opportunities tagged under this code—irrigation system improvements in Florida, stormwater treatment system demolition in Florida, and two HVAC system replacements in Georgia—do not involve barrel electrocoating services. The disconnect between the code's technical name and the work actually being solicited suggests that either this code is rarely used for state and local procurement or that agencies are applying it incorrectly to construction and infrastructure maintenance projects that fall outside electrocoating scope.

No representative opportunities relevant to barrel electrocoating services are present in the available source material. Business development professionals monitoring this code should verify whether it is actively used by state and local purchasing offices, and if so, whether the tagging reflects actual market demand or a classification error within the issuing bodies' procurement systems.
