UNSPSC 70161600: Flora

UNSPSC 70161600 Flora is a Class code that captures landscaping materials and horticultural products for grounds maintenance and site beautification work by state and local governments. The scope covers plants, seeds, turf, trees, shrubs, mulch, soil amendments, and related botanical supplies used in park development, grounds restoration, and facility enhancement projects. State and local buyers — primarily county parks and recreation departments, municipalities, school districts, and special-purpose park authorities — use this code to procure live plant material and associated landscape inputs for construction, renovation, and ongoing maintenance of recreational and public-use facilities.

The most recent posting under this code is DeKalb County's ITB 2026-076-ITB for reconstruction of the DeKalb Tennis Center in Mason Mill Park, Decatur, Georgia, with bids due July 13, 2026. However, the scope of that solicitation centers on IT and low-voltage infrastructure installation rather than flora procurement, indicating a potential mismatch between the code tag and the actual work being bought. The source provides no additional recent state and local opportunities clearly aligned with landscaping materials or horticultural products under this code, limiting visibility into current issuing-body patterns or geographic distribution of genuine flora procurement activity.
