UNSPSC 70121706: Livestock identification and recording service

UNSPSC 70121706 Livestock identification and recording service is a Commodity code that shows no relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The three most recent opportunities tagged under this code—Career Technical Education instructional resources (Klein ISD, Texas, RFP #26-101, due June 5, 2026), aerial thermal surveys for white-tailed deer using unmanned aircraft systems (Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Illinois, RFQ, due April 15, 2026), and executive search services for a City Manager position (City of College Park, Georgia, RFP 26-37, due February 18, 2026)—bear no connection to livestock identification or recording services. The code's nominal scope covers animal husbandry and tracking systems typically solicited by agricultural departments, ranching operations, or veterinary agencies; the posted opportunities reflect education procurement, environmental surveys, and municipal executive recruitment instead.

This mismatch suggests either a cataloging error in the source data or that the code has not generated meaningful state and local solicitations aligned with its intended scope in the current market window. Business development professionals should verify whether the code reflects active purchasing patterns in their target jurisdictions before investing resources in capability development or bid pursuit under this classification.
