UNSPSC 70121705: Livestock breeding or grooming services

UNSPSC 70121705 Livestock breeding or grooming services (Commodity) does not map to the work state and local governments are actually buying under this code. The three most recent opportunities posted under this code include a Career Technical Education and Advanced Academics instructional-materials RFP from Klein Independent School District in Texas (posted April 17, 2026), an aerial thermal survey for white-tailed deer management RFP from the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Illinois (posted April 1, 2026), and a municipal City Manager executive search services RFP from the City of College Park, Georgia (posted January 28, 2026). None of these solicitations involve livestock breeding, grooming, husbandry, or veterinary services. The code shows no recent relevant state and local procurement activity.

The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and the actual opportunities tagged under it suggests either miscoding at the issuing-body level or a database indexing issue. Business development professionals should verify the correct UNSPSC codes for their target markets — Klein ISD's educational-services procurement would fall under codes for instructional materials and equipment; the Forest Preserve District's environmental-survey work would fall under codes for environmental consulting or unmanned-systems services; and the City of College Park's recruitment services would fall under codes for administrative consulting. Practitioners pursuing livestock-related state and local procurement should confirm the applicable UNSPSC code through their target agencies' procurement systems or documentation.
