UNSPSC 70121703: Livestock slaughtering services

UNSPSC 70121703 Livestock slaughtering services (Commodity) shows no recent state and local procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope. The two most recent opportunities tagged under this code—an irrigation installation and maintenance RFP from Columbus Consolidated Government (Columbus, Georgia) posted August 11, 2026, with proposals due September 30, 2026, and a public works operational efficiency assessment RFI from the City of College Park, Georgia posted July 24, 2026, with responses due August 7, 2026—are unrelated to livestock slaughtering services. The tagging appears to reflect a classification error rather than genuine procurement demand under the code's scope.

State and local governments may procure livestock slaughtering services through specialized agricultural procurement channels, cooperative purchasing arrangements with state departments of agriculture, or direct contracts with meat-processing facilities, but the available recent-opportunities data does not surface activity under this Commodity code. Business development professionals should verify current procurement intent through direct outreach to state agriculture departments, county cooperative extension offices, and municipal facilities management divisions before committing resources to pursuits under this code.
