UNSPSC 70121701: Livestock selection

UNSPSC 70121701 Livestock selection is a Commodity code that shows little relevant recent activity. The three most recent state and local opportunities tagged to this code—a Klein Independent School District CTE instructional resources RFP, a Forest Preserve District of Kane County aerial thermal survey for white-tailed deer RFQ, and a City of College Park municipal executive search services RFP—bear no meaningful connection to livestock selection as a procurement category. The school district solicitation targets instructional materials and equipment across CTE and advanced academics programs; the forest preserve work addresses wildlife survey services using UAS technology; and the municipal procurement seeks executive recruitment consulting. None involves the selection, acquisition, or procurement of livestock.

State and local procurement activity under this code does not appear to be documented in recent solicitations. The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and the opportunities currently tagged to it suggests that buyers in this space either do not regularly solicit livestock selection services through formal state and local channels, or that UNSPSC 70121701 is not the active tagging choice when they do. Firms pursuing this commodity should verify current buyer demand through direct outreach to relevant agencies—state agricultural departments, county extension offices, special districts managing agricultural land or animal husbandry programs—rather than relying on coded opportunity activity to signal procurement interest.
