UNSPSC 70121604: Animal husbandry

UNSPSC 70121604 Animal husbandry (Commodity) does not align with the state and local procurement activity currently posted under this code. The most recent opportunities—an irrigation installation and maintenance services contract from Columbus Consolidated Government and a public works operational efficiency assessment RFI from the City of College Park—fall outside the scope of animal husbandry goods and services. The code nominally encompasses livestock management, feed procurement, veterinary supplies, and related agricultural support; the posted solicitations instead concern municipal infrastructure maintenance and organizational consulting.

The source shows no recent state and local contract opportunities that match the animal husbandry code's intended scope. Both Georgia-posted opportunities represent mislabeled or incorrectly categorized procurement activity. Firms evaluating whether to pursue work under this code should treat the recent activity as a signal of inaccurate tagging rather than genuine demand for animal husbandry services in state and local procurement.
