UNSPSC 70121603: Sericulture

UNSPSC 70121603 Sericulture is a Commodity code that shows no relevant recent activity in state and local procurement. The three most recent opportunities posted under this code—Career Technical Education instructional resources (Klein Independent School District, Texas, RFP due June 5, 2026), aerial thermal surveys for wildlife management (Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Illinois, RFQ due April 15, 2026), and municipal executive search services (City of College Park, Georgia, RFP due February 18, 2026)—are unrelated to sericulture, the production and harvesting of raw silk from silkworm cocoons. The code does not align with the work actually being solicited under these notices.

Sericulture procurement by state and local government is extremely rare, and the available source material contains no opportunities reflecting silk production, silkworm rearing, cocoon processing, or related agricultural commodities. Without evidence of current buying activity under this code, no issuing-body mix, geographic concentration, or vendor opportunity pattern can be characterized. Firms pursuing state and local contracts in silk or cocoon supply should monitor the code periodically, but no active opportunities warrant immediate pursuit at this time.
