UNSPSC 70101503: Fishing onshore facilities

UNSPSC 70101503 Fishing onshore facilities (Commodity) shows a significant mismatch between its nominal scope and recent state and local procurement activity. The code is tagged to describe infrastructure and facility work unrelated to fishing operations — specifically, information technology and low voltage infrastructure installation for recreational facilities rather than fishing-industry onshore venues, equipment, or services.

The single recent opportunity in the dataset is DeKalb County's June 2026 ITB 2026-076-ITB for reconstruction of the DeKalb Tennis Center in Mason Mill Park, Decatur, Georgia, with bids due July 13, 2026. The work scope encompasses IT and low voltage infrastructure system installation, including conduit, cabling, raceways, terminations, testing, and documentation in accordance with DeKalb County Department of Innovation and Technology standards. This solicitation represents recreational-facility infrastructure modernization, not fishing-industry procurement. The code shows little relevant recent activity aligned with its stated purpose; procurement professionals should verify code assignment with issuing bodies before pursuing opportunities under this taxonomy entry.
