UNSPSC 60121208: Marker face or body paint

UNSPSC 60121208 Marker face or body paint is a Commodity code that in current state and local procurement activity covers makeup artist services and related event support, though the code's nominal scope and recent solicitations show misalignment. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's April 2026 RFB for event services support names makeup artists alongside video production, photography, graphic design, and live streaming — a bundled vendor-pool procurement where makeup services are a minor component of a broader marketing and event support engagement rather than standalone face or body paint procurement.

The single recent opportunity sourced is from a higher-education institution rather than traditional state, county, or municipal procurement bodies. Geographic activity appears limited to Wisconsin. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee RFB 2026-UWMIL01163, posted April 13, 2026 with a due date of April 27, 2026, seeks an as-needed contractor pool with no guaranteed minimum volume; Amendment 1 added a Q&A document. The code shows no recent standalone market activity for marker face or body paint products themselves — cosmetics procurement under this code does not appear active in current state and local solicitations. Firms pursuing makeup-related services should monitor higher-education RFPs rather than expect dedicated paint or cosmetics buys at the state or local government level.
