UNSPSC 60121206: Liquid face or body paint

UNSPSC 60121206 Liquid face or body paint is a Commodity code that encompasses theatrical, event, and performance makeup products purchased by state and local public bodies. Based on recent solicitation activity, state and local governments acquire liquid face and body paint primarily for event support services, theatrical productions, and performance-related applications rather than as standalone cosmetic products. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's recent RFB (2026-UWMIL-01163) for event services support, posted April 13, 2026, explicitly included makeup artist services as part of a broader vendor pool for event and marketing support, indicating that liquid face and body paint sits within the operational scope of institutions managing campus events, performances, and promotional activities. Issuing bodies under this code include higher-education institutions establishing qualified contractor pools for recurring event and performance needs on an as-needed basis without guaranteed minimum volumes.

Geographic activity is concentrated in Wisconsin, as evidenced by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's April 2026 RFB with a response deadline of April 27, 2026. The code shows minimal recent activity in the state and local procurement dataset overall, with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee representing the only identified recent opportunity. This narrow activity window suggests either limited recent procurement intensity under this specific commodity code or that state and local buyers tag makeup-related services and products under broader UNSPSC families focused on event services, entertainment services, or personal care supplies rather than to this granular Commodity code.
