UNSPSC 53112101: Mens overshoes

UNSPSC 53112101 Mens overshoes is a Commodity code covering protective footwear that state and local governments procure for personnel working in wet, muddy, or contaminated environments. The code captures slip-on or laced overshoes worn over regular work boots or shoes to extend service life, improve traction, or meet site-specific safety or sanitation requirements. State and local buyers — including public works departments, maintenance facilities, transit authorities, and custodial services — source these items through both open-market IFB and cooperative purchasing agreements to equip field and maintenance staff.

The available recent-opportunities dataset contains no postings under this Commodity code. Without posted solicitations, geographic concentration and issuing-body patterns cannot be characterized from recent activity. Firms pursuing state and local procurement in protective footwear should monitor cooperative-purchasing vehicles (such as state contracts or regional cooperative agreements) and public-works purchasing portals in their target jurisdictions, as overshoes are often bundled with broader personal-protective-equipment or workwear contracts rather than solicited as standalone line items.
