UNSPSC 50396007: Organic purple velvet pommegranate purees

The variety of organic pommegranates known as organic purple velvet pommegranates which have been pureed.

UNSPSC 50396007 Organic purple velvet pomegranate purees (Commodity) does not align with actual state and local procurement activity under this code. Recent solicitations tagged to this Commodity code are instead acquiring shelf-stable foods, fresh produce, canned fruits, dried fruit products, and institutional food service items—none of which are organic purple velvet pomegranate purees or pomegranate products of any kind. The source contains no recent opportunities for pomegranate purees, organic or otherwise.

The recent opportunities posted under this code span school districts, county boards of education, state corrections and health agencies, and state veterans homes across Georgia, Illinois, Oregon, Texas, and Connecticut, but the actual procurement activity—applesauce, fresh apples and berries, cafeteria proteins, dried fruit bars, and general food commodities for institutional dining—indicates a systematic mislabeling or miscategorization at the point of posting. Until issuers align their tagging to reflect actual commodity scope, this UNSPSC code carries minimal signal value for vendors pursuing pomegranate-based products.
