UNSPSC 50385959: Williams pear purees

The variety of pears known as williams pears which have been pureed.

UNSPSC 50385959 Williams pear purees, a Commodity code, does not appear in the recent state and local procurement record. The recent opportunities tagged under this code show no purchases of Williams pear purees or other pear products; instead, they span canned applesauce, fresh produce, dried fruit bars, and broad food-service commodities purchased by corrections departments, health and human services agencies, school districts, and county nutrition programs. State and local buyers do source shelf-stable fruit products—canned applesauce, dried fruit, fresh berries and stone fruits—but the specific Commodity code for Williams pear purees shows no current solicitation activity in the available records.

The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and the recent opportunities suggests that either this particular product line sees minimal state and local procurement demand, or the issuing bodies tagging their food-service solicitations are using broader codes (such as general canned fruit or shelf-stable produce categories) rather than this specific pear-puree Commodity code. No representative recent solicitations under 50385959 are available to characterize issuing bodies, geographic spread, or typical contract terms.
