UNSPSC 50385911: Concorde pear purees

The variety of pears known as concorde pears which have been pureed.

UNSPSC 50385911 Concorde pear purees, a Commodity code, shows little relevant recent activity. The code's nominal scope—specialty pear purees—does not match the work actually being solicited under it in the source material, which spans canned applesauce, dried fruit bars, apple crisps, fresh produce, fresh eggs, general grocery items, and processed food products for school districts, correctional facilities, state hospitals, and supported living centers across multiple states. No state or local procurement opportunities in the source are tagged with this code for purees or products matching the code's stated description.

Absent concrete recent opportunities aligned with the Commodity's scope, business development professionals should monitor the code for future activity but do not pursue based on current signals. The broader food-service procurement market—captured under adjacent UNSPSC families for canned fruits, fresh produce, and general food supply—remains active across Oregon, Texas, Georgia, Connecticut, Missouri, and Florida, with school districts and state agencies posting ITBs, RFPs, and RFQs regularly. Firms focused on specialty fruit purees or value-added fruit products should track whether future solicitations are correctly coded under 50385911 or remain concentrated in higher-tier commodity families.
