UNSPSC 49131601: Animal calls

UNSPSC 49131601 Animal calls is a Commodity code that spans procurement of wildlife management and tactical audio equipment, though recent state and local solicitations show a mismatch between the code's nominal scope and what is actually being bought. State and local governments tag opportunities under this code for athletic apparel and customization services, and for tactical firearms sights and mounting plates—neither of which align with animal-call products. The issuing bodies in recent activity include higher-education institutions within state university systems and county purchasing divisions, reflecting the broad range of commodity needs across public agencies.

Geographic activity centers on Georgia, with recent solicitations posted by Albany State University (University System of Georgia) in March 2026 for athletic equipment and apparel under eRFQ 52100ERFQ0000016912026 (due March 26, 2026), and by Gwinnett County Department of Financial Services, Purchasing Division in March 2026 for tactical optical equipment under IWQ #124999 (due March 10, 2026). The code shows limited and scattered recent activity; the opportunities present do not reflect genuine animal-call procurement and suggest either miscoding by the issuing bodies or a code label that no longer reflects actual buying patterns at the state and local level.
