UNSPSC 44122106: Pins or tacks

UNSPSC 44122106 Pins or tacks is a Commodity code covering fastening supplies—principally push pins, thumbtacks, and similar small fasteners—that state and local governments procure as part of routine office and maintenance inventory. The code appears in state and local purchasing primarily through office-supplies catalog programs and facilities-maintenance supply contracts, where pins and tacks are bundled with broader office-supply offerings rather than solicited as standalone line items. Issuing bodies under this code include county procurement offices managing centralized office-supply agreements; most solicitations route through cooperative purchasing or negotiated discount catalogs open to multiple departments and, where applicable, subordinate agencies within a jurisdiction.

Gwinnett County, Georgia posted the only recent opportunity identified under this code: a local-supplier office supplies catalog discount program (Solicitation B-2712AM, RFQ due October 16, 2026) emphasizing local-vendor preference. The solicitation centered on negotiated discount pricing across a full office supplies catalog—of which pins and tacks form a minor component—rather than isolated fastener procurement. Geographic activity is sparse; the source supports activity only in Georgia. The narrow recent-opportunity footprint and the bundling of pins and tacks within broader office-supply catalogs suggest limited standalone demand for this Commodity code in state and local procurement right now.
