UNSPSC 41115309: Lux or light meter

A device used to measure the amount of light. In photography, a light meter (more correctly an exposure meter) is used to determine the proper exposure for a photograph.

UNSPSC 41115309 Lux or light meter (Commodity) does not map cleanly to the recent state and local procurement opportunities posted under this code. The source contains three recent solicitations — Northside Independent School District seeking electrical equipment, parts, supplies, rentals, repairs, and services (IFB2026098); Sourcewell on behalf of multiple Washington and Minnesota jurisdictions seeking law enforcement equipment (RFP #061626); and the City of Charlotte / Charlotte Area Transit System seeking video monitoring and access control system maintenance (RFP #269-2026-1988) — none of which explicitly reference light meters or lux measurement equipment as primary scope. The code shows little relevant recent activity aligned with its nominal commodity definition.

The three opportunities span school districts, cooperative purchasing vehicles, and municipal transit authorities across Texas, Washington, Minnesota, and North Carolina, but each targets broader equipment categories (electrical systems, law enforcement gear, and video/access control infrastructure) rather than specialized optical or illumination measurement instruments. Without recent solicitations explicitly requesting lux meters or light measurement devices, the code does not present a clear procurement signal for vendors in that product category at this time.
